At Athens Extreme Sports, we team up with Greece's top skydiving center to get you out of a plane and into the sky, harnessed to an experienced tandem instructor who's done this thousands of times, so all you have to do is enjoy the ride. You'll climb to altitude over the Viotia countryside, step out into 200km/h freefall for close to a minute, then glide the rest of the way down under canopy, mountains, valleys and the Greek landscape spread out beneath you. No experience needed. No fear-based sales pitch either, just a properly run, professional operation and a moment you'll be talking about for years. The Experience -Meet your instructors, complete your paperwork and safety briefing -Quick lesson on body position, how to exit the plane and what to expect on the way down -Gear up in your tandem harness and head to the aircraft -Climb to altitude (about 15–20 minutes in the air) -Jump! Freefall for up to 60 seconds at speeds of 200km/h -Instructor opens the parachute, glide for 5–7 minutes taking in the view -Smooth landing on the grass strip Prices per person : -Tandem jump from 14.000 feet - 270 euros. -Handycam package (video + photos, filmed by your instructor) - €99 -Outside camera package (professional freefall cameraman, video + photos) - €200 Good to Know : -Minimum age: No strict age limit, provided the harness fits properly. Under 18s need a parent or guardian's signed consent. -Maximum weight: 85kg -What to bring: Valid photo ID (required for airfield access) -Weather: Exact timing depends on conditions on the day, skydiving is weather-dependent and we'll keep you posted -The whole experience takes about 2 hours to complete -Location: The dropzone is in Kopaida Airfield, Kastro Viotias, roughly 1,5 hours drive from central Athens. You can reach it from: Athens (Bus station – KTEL Liosion, Liosion 260, Athens 104 45) To: Kastro Voiwtias (small village 3km away. Make sure that 30 minutes before your arrival at the Kastro station, you need to inform us so we can arrange a taxi driver that will pick you up (the cost of the taxi is 15 euro per route) VIP Transportation from Athens Our driver will pick you up from Athens and take you back when you will finish with your skydive. Cost is at 220€ euros in total for 1-4 paseengers for the round trip (for our 4-seated car)
