Ancient Messene Route : Journey through time as you explore the ancient city of Messene, one of Greece’s best-preserved archaeological sites. Cycle through olive groves, vineyards, and traditional villages, with breathtaking views.Learn about the history and mythology of this legendary city from our expert guides. 2. Navarino Trail: Discover the natural beauty and history of Navarino Bay, including the Old Navarino Castle and the Sunken City of Pavlopetri. Ride along coastal paths, through olive groves, and past pristine beaches, with opportunities for swimming and exploring ancient ruins. Immerse yourself in the region’s rich maritime history and stunning landscapes. 3. Kalamata Olive Routes: Pedal through the famous olive groves of Kalamata, home to some of the world’s finest olive oil. Visit traditional olive mills and learn about the olive oil production process.Enjoy scenic routes with views of the Taygetos Mountains and the Messinian Gulf. Details: Terrain: Mixed mainly on flat terrain with a few short climbs Distance: 15 – 25 km Total Elevation: 200m – 400m Duration: 4 hours with breaks Skill level: Intermediate Route distance and total elevation details are adjusted on group’s skills and abilities. Activity requirements: – Some previous experience is necessary, you will have to ride a bike efficiently in gravel and smooth dirt roads – Relatively good physical condition – Minimum age: 10 years old.
