Description : Hiking on the peak of Pangaion mountain. It is a mountain range in Greece, approximately 40 km from Kavala. The highest elevation is 1,956 m at the peak of Koutra. The Aegean Sea lies to the south and the plains of Philippi-Kavala to the north. The mountain range covers the southeastern portion of the Serres regional unit as well as the northwestern part of the Kavala regional unit which includes the bigger part of the mountain. Coasteering is an adventurous activity of coast exploring that combines easy climbing parts, rappels, jumps from the cliffs from different heights while crossing the coast from earth and sea. You will experience the thrill of exploring the general area of Sounio and the temple of Poseidon, an area with great archaeological and historical significance. The activity is done at a scenic spot at the Athenian Riviera where you will have the chance to swim on clear blue waters, explore sea caves and jump from the designated spots into the deep sea taken all the safety measures. The route of this activity is 4 km and its duration ranges from 3 to 5 hours depending on the size of the group. The jumps into the sea start from 1 meter and go up to 14 meters!!!! The whole route consists of 18 points that contains constant jumping (if someone can’t or doesn’t want to jump, an alternative route on foot from the beautiful coastline can be chosen), scrambling and hiking on the coast. Another part of this route is snorkelling on the incredible seabed of the area, on crystal clear waters, caves and rocks that make a unique landscape for this specific activity.
